Family on the 4th

Here is installment numero dos of the late 4th posts.

After the parade, we went out to one of the family's ranches and celebrated it up!

We missed out on the local community turtle race, so instead of fret, we brought the turtle race to us!  Except only one of the turtles was really with it.

"Rough" the turtle going for the win...

We pulled out the patriotic mustaches...

and set up the giant water toys.

John Paul found something that he really enjoyed, too!

Popsicles were passed around...

and the adults even made use of the toys.

Sophie really enjoyed being held.

The kids learned about sharing...

and ate just a liiiitle bit of sugar :)

Fun was had by all.

Even Spiderman had a good time.

Yes, he does own swim trucks.  No, they weren't an option.

Finally, it was home for a few fireworks...

Oh how we love our country and the reasons we have to celebrate!
