Pumpkins. Oh Pumpkins.

PaPa and Elley took Carter to the pumpkin patch last weekend.  It's a cut-your-own-pumpkin-off-the-vine kind of patch.  He loved it!  I love pumpkins of all shapes, colors and sizes, and they brought home some great ones.  I arranged them by our church pew and few in the corner here:
I looked out the other morning to find this...

^^^lining them up.

^^^John Paul wanting in on it

^^^there are very few stems actually left on the pumpkins now

^^^loading and unloading their harvest

^^^then out came all the pine cones, too (that my sister-in-law so generously gathered for us in the mountains).
At first I was a little irritated, but then it became so fun.  We've been outside for hours moving pumpkins this week.  In one excited moment Carter shouted, "Look Momma! Dese are all the cousins.  Dese are the bruders and this is the mom and dad pumpkin."

Our Fall has started amazingly well!

  5. my boys would be in HEAVEN with those John Deere toys. And the pumpkins being loaded and unloaded...we do that with leaves in our dump trucks all day long :) such sweet boys--and Peter's chunky legs in those boots! Does it get any better than that???
