Play Dough...

I'm not a huge fan of play dough.  I don't like the way it feels.  But, it had been a long afternoon, and Daddy was running a bit late, so we decided to have a little project.

Getting their stools to their places...

mixing the ingredients...

and heating it on the stove.

The boys both agreed on yellow, and it took less than fifteen minutes to make.

Peter wasn't too sure at first.

Put Carter jumped right in.

I used this recipe and will do it again.  The boys grabbed a few cookie cutters and went to town.   When Carter gave me the "stocking" he made, I held it and then without even thinking squished it into a ball.  Big. Mistake.

After he quit crying, I helped him make another.  Way to go, Mom!

  1. Um....second picture of Peter's face? Hilarious. He's like "you want me to do what with this nasty stuff?" Looks similar to the picture of you that you emailed me yesterday. Resemblance? I think so!

  2. I'm with Peter. Weird stuff. Texture, smell...I'm suspicious too.

And I couldn't help but laugh at your comment about squishing the stocking being a big mistake. It happens!
