Another Thing I Never Thought I Would Make

When I was young and in elementary school, the thing I hated seeing on the menu most was Chicken Pot Pie.  For some reason, just a glace at it made my stomach hurt.  So, I always brought my lunch that day. Fast forward twenty-five years, and I still hadn't tried the stuff...until last week.

I found this recipe because Jeremy said he liked Chicken Pot Pie and suggested I make it.

As I was reading it, I wasn't extremely grossed out, so I decided to give it a try.

As you can see, it's not your typical creamy pot pie...
It's made with chicken broth and flour - no milk.
And, it's really easy.  Once the mixture is ready...
...you simply place it in a baking dish and top with Phyllo sheets!
All of that makes it somewhat healthier, and believe it or not, pretty tasty.
To make it a keeper, my kids ate it.  So, I've been converted.  I won't have it all the time, but I also won't get nauseous thinking about it!

Have a wonderful weekend, and don't forget to enter this giveaway and this one too!
