My sweet friend Maggie recently became an independent distributor of Shaklee. When she asked me to review the Get Clean Starter Kit for her, I really knew next to nothing about these products. So, to their website I went, and here's what they say:

As fate would have it, when the box arrived, John Paul had just done this...as if he new what might be in the box. Yes, that's strawberry chapstick on the kitchen cabinet.
I asked them to get their cleaning supplies, and we opened the box!

What I loved most about the products is that for each spray cleaner, you use the same base concentrate in different amounts. The highest amount you ever use is 1.5 teaspoons for 16 ounces of water. So, I'll have cleaner for weeks! I was a bit leery of the cleaning products on my granite countertops. You see, I didn't really think things through when getting the granite, and I got black. Let me tell you, I'll never do that again. It's so hard to get clean...it just always seems to have streaks. So, I didn't think I'd like these products for that. Surprisingly they work really well! And, the kids can now clean the counter with the Shaklee degreaser.
One thing I wish the cleaning products had was more of a scent. But, Maggie informed me that a few drops of essential oils in the bottles would do the trick, so I added lemon! It's perfect.
Besides the degreaser that I find myself using for everything, I found a couple of products beyond the Get Clean Started Kit that I love...1) the Fabric Softener (it smells so fresh and clean) and 2) Scour Off - I'll show you how well it worked in a bit.

The Scour Off isn't included in the Get Clean Starter Kit, but it's a product I'll definitely keep purchasing. I use one of my Le Creuset dutch ovens to bake breads, and they bake at very high temperatures. Over time, this is what it's come to look like...well-loved. Well, I can never get all of this brown stuff off, regardless of how hard I scrub.
Then, I tried the Scour Off, and this happened....
I didn't even have to rub hard. Next up, I'm trying the inside of my oven, but I'll spare you the before photos!
Since I've had the products (about two weeks), I've found my kids "cleaning" so many things. Aside from sometimes spraying a bit too much, it's not been a cause for concern. And, they really do love helping. I love the laundry detergent, but the softener tops my favorite list with its smell! I have found that the cleaning sprays (one all-purpose, one degreaser, one window) work really well! For ease, I've been using the degreaser (with the highest cleaning concentration) for everything.
