The day after my birthday, on February 9th, we baptized John Paul. It was beautiful - both a renewal of our baptismal promises and a commitment to raise this gift of God to know and love Him.
In a sacrament such as Baptism, I'm reminded of the only thing that truly matters...following God. Sometimes, more often than I like to admit, I find myself worrying about very worldly things whether it be how busy I'm keeping myself or how others see me.
But, in this sacrament, we have chosen to raise our children in the faith. We have chosen to be their example. We have chosen to be, some days, the only piece of Jesus they might see. So, all that really matters is being able to say we did our best in guiding them back to Heaven.

Love this picture with Saint Francis Xavier in the background...
Carter was so excited to see Father Glenn...
Then we had a brunch at the house afterwards...
One happy little Christian :)
Welcome to the Church, John Paul Matthias!
This is beautiful, Britt! Great pictures. And I love this quote: "We have chosen to be, some days, the only piece of Jesus they might see." Perfect!
