The First Days...

Thank you all so much for your kind comments, messages and emails!  I haven't replied to all but I hope to!

I feel like I've taken so many photos (or Jeremy has), but I haven't made the time to go through them all.  Here are the moments from the hospital...those early morning hours on Friday to leaving on Sunday.  For those who asked, yes Jeremy missed the actual birth, but I think he was just happy that I was no longer in pain...and that we could have a conversation!

He's our biggest baby by 5 ounces, and our first to come on his own.
I just remember waiting in the bathroom to be taken to bed.  They thought I was going to faint.  I wasn't, but all I remember saying is, "I'm so tired" probably fifteen times.  Haha.  I was a bit out of it.

Oh how instantly I fall in love.

It was all so different from most of our deliveries, in so many ways.  One was that no one was waiting with us at the hospital.  It was so much fun texting our family with a picture of him to wake up to!  The next day, he met his siblings and grandparents.

Carter was so, so proud.

Sophie was very serious about her role.

They all asked to see his tiny toes.

Genevieve wasn't too interested.
And, Peter smiled from ear to ear (from a distance) at first!

Then...he burped.

The hospital cap was decorated like a Ninja Turtle.

John Paul had waited for this moment for so long.
Peter, too!
Then, we had a day to just rest, relax, and take it all in.

The champion swaddler.

Life at home has been quite a bit louder and a bit more whiney, ha!  But, we're so, so blessed!
