John Paul Turns One

We had a small celebration for John Paul's birthday on Saturday.  Papa and Elley came over for a cupcake, and we're seeing Mimi and Pops today!

I made mini oreo cupcakes...

We had a few appetizers and a couple of soups...

...along with a birthday sign.

Carter made sure we did everything right for his birthday.  We weren't allowed to sing the birthday song until he had his birthday hat on.

John Paul wasn't so sure about the candle...

...but he loved the cupcake.   It was gone in one bite!

He was happy as could be!

He had plenty of help opening presents...

Peter found something he liked

John Paul has a love for stuffed animals, and now he has a new one!

It was a wonderful day with our precious little boy!

Here are a few stats I don't want to forget:

• 21 lbs.
• 29 in.
• Says about 5-8 words
• Waves when he wants to
• Wears 12-18 month clothes
• Crawls
• Has 8.5 teeth
• Is as calm and sweet as they come :)
