Scrub Scrub Scrub

A few weeks ago, I saw this in my blog reader, and I thought we might need to try it!  We've never made soap.  And, technically we didn't really make it here...we just reshaped it.   However, someday I really would like to try to make it like my great-grandma did!

All the instructions are in the original blog, so be sure to check them out.  The kids loved helping. We chopped the soap block up, and microwaved it until it was just melted.

Then, each kid chose an essential oil for their batch (which made six small bars each).  Carter chose lemon and stirred it in!

Peter chose peppermint, JP chose thieves, and Sophie went with lavender.  I personally like her choice most.

Then, they sat for about an hour and were ready to pop out!
Finally, we wrapped them up!

Voila!

So, if you're needing an easy, but fun project to do with your kids, I'd really recommend this one!
