Our Everyday: Volume 4

It was a quiet Superbowl Sunday for us, but a fun one (minus the 49er loss, dang it)!  We stayed home and had a little pizza party with our immediate family.  I got a pizza stone for Christmas, and it has been the best gift!  Jeremy has deemed himself the "Pizza Maker," and I couldn't be happier.  His creations are delicious!

Here are a few shots from our set-up for our chicken and veggie pizza: artichokes, spinach, roasted tomato,  mozzarella, and chicken:

I didn't get a picture when it was completed.  It didn't last long :)

Our Monday cooking making venture was a fast one this time...only three ingredients:  cookie dough, extra sugar and Hershey kisses.  Here is a recipe: Quick Peanut Blossoms.  Our grocery store didn't have the peanut butter cookie dough, so we opted for sugar cookie dough - not a bad exchange!

Peter had just woken up from a nap and Carter had just gotten in from a long morning of hole-digging with Dad.  So, the task of unwrapping the Hershey kisses was a great one - for their tummies!

I didn't do it.

He couldn't get them unwrapped fast enough (notice he already has one in his mouth)...

And another for the little guy...

See how easy this is :)

Carter rolling the dough into balls...

then rolling the balls in sugar...

placing them on the pan...

and making sure they were safe to eat!

The kisses that made a safe escape from the Fisk boys...

Carter trying to sneak one last dough ball before the oven "messed" it up.

And the finishing touch...a kiss on a warm cookie!

Carter is taking these to a friend of mine who lost her mama when we were in the second grade.  The anniversary of her death is this week.  Please pray for her as she raises her precious kids without an Elley to lean on.

Every day is a blessing.

  2. I like the dedication to quality control in the establishment. No stale cookie dough or rotten kisses in your kitchen!
