Crafting via Homeschool

As part of our homeschooling, we have bigger art projects every now and then.  One of them was to make a rosary holder.  So, we thought of making them for some special friends of ours.  I got a little bit ODC and decided to color all of the images myself before I let them put them together.  But, then, when they worked on theirs to keep, I let go a bit!

They got to glue them together and put stickers on.

The kids decided for theirs, they wanted me to print a picture of their patron saints.  So, that was much easier.

I have to admit, I'm not much of a crafter.  I like it to begin with and then quickly am over it. Plus, I like everyone to listen and follow instructions.  Can you guess how often that happens here?  For some reason though, I don't mind baking with the kids.  I still like them to listen and follow instructions, but I'm a teeny bit more laid back in that arena.

Luckily we don't have a ton of art projects we just have to do.  Poor kids.

When we were young, we'd go to my grandmother's house and craft all the time.  She loved painting little wooden Santa Clauses, and for some reason she loved letting us help.  It would have driven me crazy, but she still let us do it.  And, I remember having so much fun.  So....maybe I should find a way to have more fun while my kids do it!

We'll see.
