Mid-week Likes & Links
I just wanted to reiterate that life gets a bit crazy at times, and sometimes when it's crazy, instead of doing what I need to do, I do other things...like baking. Well, I just wanted in photographic evidence that I failed to make fudge for the first time ever...and the second...and the third. But I'm the weirdo who wants to try again.
Father Barron's message on Christmas isn't what we hear every day.
A friend of mine bought this for his little boy and said it's the neatest thing! I'm tempted to get it.
How cute are these little cookie cutters?
And, these rosary rings - well, it looks like the shop won't open until early next year, but they are wooden rosary rings that are so neat!
How beautiful are these images?! I just love how this photographer has used her gifts!
I hate when my sweaters pill - Caroline has some solutions!
Need gift tags - take a look at these beautiful, free, downloadable ones!
Here is Sophie's hat from yesterday's post. And, her tea set!
Once again...he has another series I'm loving.
Happy Wednesday!

Our First Snow Day of 2016
It snowed this weekend, and it feels like we've been waiting for it to do so for.ev.er. It didn't snow much or last very long, but it was so cold. It got down to zero at one point. So, we did a few different things. The big boys helped Jeremy get the generator ready just in case we needed it!

Don't worry, I actually plugged it in.
This guy lasted five minutes before he was screaming that his chin had frozen off. Luckily, it really hadn't. So, he drew pictures in the frost.
Then, we had a cookie break.
And, Sophie made me some tea.

Then we discovered someone outside the window!
So, I don't know when we'll see snow again, but we made the most of this one!

Gingerbread...Houses and Cookies
What's Christmas without a gingerbread house? Really, it's not that different, ha! But, we decided to get a little mini village this year so each kid could build their own...and we didn't follow the instructions. Who wants to wait three or four hours for the houses to dry before you decorate them? Not us.
Someone (or almost everyone) kept taste-testing.
You're right, I rarely brush her hair.
In case you're wondering if it's a good idea to do this at 7:30 pm, when your kids go to be at 8 pm, the answer is probably not.
Check out that pumpkin chimney crashing to the ground!
Peter surrounded his house with pumpkin gummies saying it was Christmas time but the people still had a bunch of "weally old pumpkins awound their house that they never took to the dump!" Ha! Maybe that happened to us once?

The next day, we thought, why not cram something else in?! Gingerbread cookies it was! I did something wrong here...maybe put too many marshmallows in his hot chocolate.

And, there's the newest little guy helping.
I found this recipe online, and they were very crispy, plus I tried to make my own royal icing...not the best. Anyway, let's just say they ended up looking much better than they tasted!
All gingerbreaded out.
