Spaghetti and Meatballs

Growing up, I was never a big fan of meatballs.  However, my aunt gave me this recipe, and I cannot get enough.  They are so tasty, and the recipe makes over 40 golf-ball-sized meatballs, so it's plenty to freeze in batches or share with others!

I also throw it all in a crockpot, so it makes it that much easier without losing any taste.

Here's the recipe:

Sauce:
1 large onion, chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups mushrooms
1 (12 oz) can tomato paste
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (46 oz) can tomato juice
4 T. dried basil
1 t. dried oregano
1/4 t. ground red pepper (I omit this)
1 t. each salt and pepper

Meatballs:
2 lb. ground beef
1 lb. pork sausage (I use original)
3 eggs
3 C. breadcrumbs
3/4 C. Parmesan cheese
3 T. dried parsley
1/2 t. garlic powder
Salt and Pepper to taste

Stir sauce in crockpot.  Add golf-ball-sized meatballs.  Cook on high for 4-6 hours.  Enjoy!
