7 Quick Takes: A Cute Coffee Shop and Delicious Treats

Linking up with Jen at Conversion Diary for 7 Quick Takes:

{1} Last Saturday morning the boys took me to breakfast at the local coffee shop, Gracie Wonderful's.  As always, it was delicious.  Take a look at this place - cute, isn't it?!  Even better, the food never fails to impress.  They have daily lunch specials, sweet and savory crepes and an amazing selection of coffee and tea - not to mention a tasty daily homemade dessert.  We were all in heaven!

{2} The boys have created their very own down-hill ski trail.  I don't know how much longer our couch will survive the Olympics, but the games will keep the boys energized for weeks to come!

{3} Yesterday, we baked and baked and baked some more.  We made a few more Valentine goodies:

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

and Mini Cheesecakes (closest recipe I could find).
these will have strawberry or blueberry topping for our Valentine's dinner!

{4} Jeremy walked in the door from work yesterday and said I should really go look at the sunset.  So, I grabbed my camera and got these two shots from different parts of the sky.  We really do live in a beautiful place!

{5} Thanks to Bailley of Lew, Party of Two, we decided last-minute (this morning at 6:00) to make heart-shaped pancakes for the boy's breakfast.  It was easy and worth the excitement!

{6} We're going to spend our Valentine's night with my grandmother and cousin.  I've never made it before, but I'm bringing this soup (similar to Olive Garden's) - pray it turns out!

{7} Lastly, I'll leave you with a picture of what happens when you give your one-year-old a sucker:

Happy Valentine's Day!

  2. I didn't realize that John Paul is a redhead! What a gift! I always wanted a red-headed boy. My husband and his sister are both redheads, so I figured my chances were good, but I got a brown-head and a blond. Oh well, they were both cute kids anyway.
